Sony unveils alpha A850 DSLR

After A500 and A550 DSLR cameras where released sony has releases its 24.6 megapixel alpha A850 DSLR camera. It contains dual BIONZ imaging processors for capturing topnotch photos. An intelligent feature of this camera is this camera takes the raw image of the pic and the user can later make changes in it by making the photo composition. The cost of this model is about $2000.

Sony releases A500 and A550 DSLR cameras

Sony has officialy announced the release of A500 and A550 DSLR cameras. These models contains a specially designed sensor that helps to take photos even at low light. The sensitivity of these cameras range upto ISO12800. And the resolution is also amazing (14.2 &12.3 megapixels). Many features are included in this type cameras such as tilting upto 90 degrees up or down for live view, smile shutter, face detection, steady shot image stabilizer with a 3 inch LCD. Memory ranges upto 32 GB with MS PRO Duo type and dedicated slots for PRO Duo and PRO Duo-HG.
The cost is about $750-$850 for A500 and $950-$1050 for A550 type.

Samsung unveils Mpower 699 CDMA phone

Apple launches new line of iPods

Apple is set to release its new line of ipods. These ipods will include games like sudoku, vortex etc., cover flow, 1 day audio play back or 5 hours video playback. This fatty iPod nano will costs around $150 for 4GB and $199 for 8GB.


The iPod classic, a fifth generation gadget, comes ina metallic design, same user interface but thinner than the earlier version. The total memory is around 160 GB which can store upto 40k songs with 40 hours audio playback or 7 hours video playback. The 80GB classic costs around $249 and 160GB costs around $349.

Adding to these is the newest iPod touch which is similiar to iPhone but this one is thinner say 8mm. A 3.5" screen, multitiouch and the wi-fi makes this iPod more special. 8GB costs around 300$ and 16GB @ $400.

Nokia 5800 navigation edition

Nokia launches its nokia 5800 navigation edition 5800XM. The difference between 5800XM and the earlier one is the chrome-finish bezel. The later one comes with a voice guided drive and navigation facility together with a car charger and car mount kit. Similar to nokia 5800 this one also possess touchscreen ( 3.2 inches ), HSDPA, GSM support, 3.2 megapixel camera, dual LED flash etc... The phone costs around $410.

The digicam giant sony has unveiled its two new cybershot cameras which can take photo by itself. This partyshot camera detects a face movement and takes a snap using its BIONZ process imaging. It can be placed in any table and can turn in a circle and turn up or down by 24 degrees. This camera is compatible with TX1 and WX1 cameras. The camera stays active for continuous eleven hours on two batteries.

Sony releases Exmor R sensor DSC TX1 & DSC WX1

The gadget giant sony has released its two Exmor R CMOS sensor cameras which promises an outstanding picture quality. This new technology together with BIONZ imaging processor assures fast panoramic photos. It also incorporates automatic face detection, smile shutter and a stabilizer for image too.It consumes low power and high speed operation. This TX1 12 megapixel camera provides 4x optical zoom, 3" wide LCD screen. But the screen is 2.7" in WX1.
The TX1 camera is expected to cost around $380 and WX1 is of $350. They are available in pink, blue, silver, gray colors. And these models will be unveiled on October 2009.

The highly expected Black berry curve 8520 is getting released in India by Airtel on August 2009. This one costs around $130 and you get two megapixel camera and a 256 MB RAM,256 MB flash memory, 512 Mhz microprocessor and a memory card of 1 GB microSD is provided is provided. Bluetooth 2.0 and wi-fi also included.
For typing a e-mail or a message it is well suited. But it doesnot provide GPS and high speed networking. Battery life is not that much good when compared to other blackberry models.

The Samsung company has released its new eco-friendly mobile. Nearly 70% of the components made by recycling. Out of which 40% is made from corn based plastic called "bioplastic". This model prs - 600 comes with a 6" wide screen ( prs - 300 had 5" ) and comes with memory slots. MS PRO Duo card (SD card) is supported. Sony releases PRS - 300

The second mobile manufacturer giant sony has released two new e-book readers. One of them is PRS-300 Reader pocket coming around $100 t0 $200 (not sure about the total cost including the taxes) . The main feature is this one is a 5" but the minus point is that this one is not touch screen and doesnot come with a card slot. Moreover u can connect to a computer or a laptop only via USB and not through a wireless mode. This model can store 350 e-books at a minimum. You can charge fully and can use continuously for 10 - 15 days.

Steven Spielberg to remake "Harvey"

The film will be produced by Spielberg and Don Gregory, with Elizabeth Gabler and Carla Hacken overseeing the project for Fox 2000, which acquired the rights to the original play in 2008.

Harvey is the story of an amiable eccentric, Elwood P. Dowd, and his friendship with a six and a half feet tall invisible rabbit and how this affects every member of his family and his community. It won the Pulitzer Prize in 1944, and played on Broadway for 1,775 performances between 1944 and 1949. It later was adapted for the 1950 Universal film that starred Jimmy Stewart and Josephine Hull.

Added Stacey Snider: “This is a story relevant for all times, perhaps more so than ever before. We are so pleased to be able, with Fox, to be bringing this to today’s audiences.”

Casting and pre-production will begin immediately with cameras turning right after the first of the year as a joint venture between the two studios.

D3000 digital camera released by Nikon

Nikon has announced to launch its two digital SLRs D3000 and the D300s in the market. The D3000 would be available at a price tag of $600, at the same time, D300s would be available for $1800.

The D3000 comes with a wider range of ISO settings, now 100 to 1600; a larger LCD screen (3-inches, to the D40-generations 2.5-inches); an 11-point autofocus system (same as in the D90 and D5000); and a 3-frames-per-second burst mode (up from 2.5-frames-per-second).

At the same time, the D300s shares many of the characteristics of its predecessor: Both have a 12.3-megapixel CMOS sensor and 51-point autofocus system. The shape and size are similar, too.

It comes with Nikon’s original Scene Recognition System, utilizing 1,005-pixel RGB sensor, delivers more accurate autofocus, auto exposure, i-TTL flash control and auto white balance.

iPhone Flaws Exposed - Patch up Released

Apple releasing a security patch, "Apple is set to release a software patch to address a recently described security flaw in the iPhone, the UK network operator 02 has said. Experts revealed on Thursday that modified SMS messages could result in iPhones being disconnected from the network or hijacked altogether. Phones incorporating the Windows Mobile and Google Android operating systems are also vulnerable, they said. An O2 spokesperson said the patch would be available Saturday through iTunes."
